MECHANICJoin a Team That Takes Pride in Keeping Equipment Working Kyle Kluck Excavating is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated mechanic with proven experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy trucks, construction equipment, trailers, small engines, and shop equipment. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can independently troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues and complete repairs correctly the first time. Equipment You'll Be Working On Class 7 & 8 heavy trucks Dump trucks Semi tractors and trailers Excavators Bulldozers Loaders Skid steers Compact equipment Small gas and diesel engines Shop machinery and support equipment Primary Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines Troubleshoot hydraulic systems Repair electrical systems, wiring, sensors, and controls Service brakes, suspensions, steering, drivetrains, and transmissions Perform preventative maintenance inspections Weld and fabricate repair components when necessary Research, read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics Maintain accurate repair records Respond to occasional field service repairs Required Experience Applicants should possess strong working knowledge of: Diesel Engine Systems Cummins Caterpillar International Other heavy-duty diesel platforms Hydraulic Systems Pumps Cylinders Valves Hydraulic motors Hydraulic troubleshooting and leak diagnosis Electrical Systems 12V and 24V systems Charging systems Starting systems Sensors and controls Wiring repairs and diagnostics Mechanical Systems Air brake systems Suspensions Steering systems Drivetrain components Differentials PTO systems Trailer repair Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of heavy equipment and/or heavy truck repair experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently without constant supervision Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to lift 75+ pounds Valid driver's license CDL or ability to obtain CDL is preferred The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Can diagnose problems instead of simply replacing parts Takes ownership of repairs Understands downtime costs money Works safely and efficiently Shows up consistently and on time Has pride in quality workmanship Compensation Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Overtime available Benefits Paid holidays Uniform allowance Health insurance after 90 days 3% pension match after 1 year Paid vacation after 1 year, increasing with years of service Employee paid supplemental insurance options available Employee paid dental and vision insurance available
