  • Full-time, Contract Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our production lines running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for technical problem-solving and a strong background in industrial maintenance. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Conduct repairs on mechanical components, including welding ( welding if applicable), hydraulic systems, and low/high voltage electrical systems. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management. Diagnose electrical problems through electrical diagnostics and engineering troubleshooting techniques; repair and replace faulty components as needed. Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts to access high or hard-to-reach machinery safely. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate precise repairs and maintenance activities. Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze equipment performance data and implement improvements for industrial efficiency. Support customer service initiatives by ensuring equipment reliability in manufacturing operations, contributing to overall client satisfaction. Maintain safety standards by adhering to protocols related to high voltage, electrical safety, and industrial maintenance procedures. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Proficiency with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking. Strong technical sales experience is a plus, especially in explaining equipment needs or solutions to clients or internal teams. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, HVAC troubleshooting, and the operation of scissor lifts for equipment access. Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams; capable of performing electrical troubleshooting at both low and high voltage levels. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic troubleshooting, precision measuring instruments, welding techniques ( welding if applicable), and the use of ammeters or ohmmeters. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician practices, and engineering troubleshooting methods. Ability to perform equipment repair tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards; experience with electrical maintenance is essential. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and accurately. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities in English; experience working in field service environments is advantageous. Military background or experience in industrial electrician roles can provide valuable foundational skills for this position.
