Job Description

Carter Myers Automotive Group seeks an Import Automotive Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair European and Asian vehicles in a fast-paced dealership environment. Responsibilities include performing inspections, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and completing high-quality repairs using OEM tools and information systems. You'll collaborate closely with service advisors, support a customer-first experience, and follow strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on European and Asian import vehicles Conduct multi-point inspections and document findings accurately Use OEM and aftermarket scan tools, service manuals, and repair information systems Perform engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and electrical repairs Estimate repair time and communicate technical findings to service advisors Follow dealership, manufacturer, and OSHA safety standards Maintain clean, organized work area and properly use shop equipment Participate in ongoing training to stay current on import technology and systems Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure quality workmanship Assist teammates and support a collaborative, customer-focused service culture Required Skills Automotive diagnostics Import vehicle repair OBD-II scan tools Electrical systems troubleshooting Brake and suspension service Engine and transmission repair Service information systems (e.g., ALLDATA, Mitchell) Vehicle inspections Technical documentation Shop safety procedures
