Automotive Paint Technician Helper

Job Summary Join Scott's Auto Body and Collision, Inc as an Auto Painter Helper! As an Auto Painter Helper, you'll assist skilled painters and technicians in preparing vehicles, handling tools, and ensuring high-quality finishes. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in auto restoration, detailing, and vehicle maintenance within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Core Responsibilities Surface Prep Sanding vehicles Masking off areas not to be painted Cleaning surfaces (removing grease, dust, debris) Assisting the Painter Mixing paint and primers to exact specs Setting up spray guns and equipment Holding or positioning parts during painting Post-Paint Tasks Buffing and polishing finished paint jobs Removing masking materials Inspecting for imperfections (runs, dust, uneven coats) Shop Maintenance Cleaning paint booths and tools Disposing of hazardous materials safely Keeping work areas organized Skills & Qualities Attention to detail Ability to follow instructions closely Basic knowledge of tools and materials Physical stamina (standing, bending, lifting) Willingness to learn Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license 2+ years prefer of basic experience with auto body work and painting

Pay:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
