Lead Aerospace Wiring Technician El Segundo, CA 90245 $27.95 - $51.80 an hour - Full-time $27.95 - $51.80 an hour - Full-time About the Role As a Lead Aerospace Wiring Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly and integration of complex satellite systems. Your technical precision ensures that mission-critical hardware performs reliably in the harsh environment of space, directly contributing to the success of high-stakes aerospace programs. Responsibilities Construct and terminate high-reliability wiring harnesses for spacecraft racks and electronic enclosures. Interpret complex engineering schematics, layout drawings, and circuit diagrams to guide assembly processes. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve production challenges and optimize assembly techniques. Mentor junior technicians to foster a culture of technical excellence and consistent quality. Perform rigorous in-process inspections to ensure adherence to aerospace standards and project specifications. Maintain strict tool control and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention protocols within cleanroom environments. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 4 years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability electronics manufacturing. Active certification in
J-STD-001
Space or
NASA.STD.8739.4.
Proven ability to pass rigorous soldering and crimping proficiency evaluations. Proficiency in reading and executing complex mechanical and electrical drawings. Experience working within controlled cleanroom environments. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations. Preferred Skills Certification in
IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Experience with manual and pneumatic crimping tools for high-density connectors. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting. Demonstrated ability to perform 2PV (in-process verification) tasks.
