Job Description

Perform aircraft sheet metal and structural repairs in accordance with approved data, including SRM, AMM, engineering drawings, work cards, service bulletins, and repair instructions. Install, repair, inspect, fabricate, and replace sheet metal components, panels, brackets, doublers, skins, fairings, and related aircraft structures. Drill, countersink, deburr, rivet, fit, trim, measure, and assemble aircraft structural components using standard aviation tools and techniques. Remove and install fasteners, including solid rivets, blind rivets, Hi-Loks, nutplates, screws, and other approved hardware. Support corrosion removal, structural inspections, damage assessment, and repair layout. Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, engineering orders, and technical drawings. Ensure all structural repairs meet aviation safety standards, quality requirements, and approved repair criteria. Complete accurate maintenance records, work orders, corrective-action documentation, and system entries in accordance with FAA Part 43, Part 145 procedures, and company requirements. Assist A&P technicians with general aircraft maintenance tasks when sheet metal or structures work is not active. Maintain tool control, FOD-prevention practices, calibrated-equipment tracking, and clean work areas. Support aircraft inspections, discrepancy correction, modification work, and return-to-service readiness. Follow all company safety policies, quality-control procedures, and SMS reporting requirements. Coordinate with inspectors and maintenance leadership to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
