In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical and avionics systems on various aircraft platforms. Your expertise will ensure that all systems operate seamlessly in compliance with industry standards and federal regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technology in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment where your skills directly contribute to aviation excellence. Garmin installation experience desired Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electrical systems and avionics components using schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues with electrical or avionics systems and implement effective solutions promptly. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as, ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to diagnose system faults accurately. Perform maintenance on aircraft airframes and electrical equipment in accordance with FAA regulations and AS9100 standards. Use power tools, hand tools, soldering irons, and fabrication tools for assembly, repair, or modification tasks. Troubleshoots and repair all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft including Garmin, Aspen, Genesys, Avidyne Assist in the fabrication of wiring harnesses for avionics installations while adhering to strict safety protocols. Support vehicle maintenance operations related to military or aviation equipment by applying mechanical knowledge and electrical experience. Performs IFR/VFR inspections Qualifications Proven experience working with aircraft, including electrical systems and avionics integration. Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, CAD software, and technical manuals. Knowledge of FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), AS9100 quality standards, and industry best practices in aviation maintenance. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience; familiarity with, soldering, and precision measurement tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while using power tools, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, multimeters, and other precision instruments. Experience with root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot complex electrical or avionics issues efficiently. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking; experience working within military or aviation environments is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
