Up to $74.19/hour (W2) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Mass Properties Engineer to support military aircraft modification and development programs. This role requires strong hands‑on experience with aircraft mass properties, including weight, balance, and center‑of‑gravity analysis, with a particular focus on aircraft modifications and wing systems. The engineer will support multiple programs across various stages, from conceptual design studies to large aircraft modification efforts and rapid upgrade initiatives. Responsibilities Lead development and execution of weight control plans for aircraft modification programs Perform detailed weight, balance, and center‑of‑gravity (CG) analysis for aircraft design changes Evaluate and validate mass impacts resulting from engineering modifications Build, maintain, and manage mass properties databases for tracking weight and CG estimates Develop mass properties estimates using CAD data and parametric modeling techniques Author and review weight and balance reports in compliance with industry standards Support aircraft weighings, including preparation, review, and maintenance of required forms and charts Ensure accurate configuration control and traceability of all weight components Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, including design, systems, manufacturing, and operations Communicate mass properties data clearly and effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline Typically 10+ years of relevant mass properties engineering experience Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices Deep knowledge of SAWE Recommended Practices RP‑7 and RP‑8 Hands‑on experience with aircraft weighing and associated forms and charts Proven ability to develop weight and balance reports Experience supporting conceptual design and parametric weight estimation Experience building mass properties estimates from CAD data Ability to work effectively in multi‑disciplinary development teams Active Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) training within the last 3 years Experience supporting military or defense aircraft programs Familiarity with Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) Experience with SolidWorks and/or Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) Knowledge of parametric design, model‑based definition (MBD), and fundamentals of flight mechanics Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry Key Skills Weight and Balance Analysis Mass Properties Estimation Parametric Modeling Aircraft Weighing CAD‑Based Mass Properties Automated Weight and Balance Systems Aerospace Engineering Fundamentals group id: cxjudgpa Apply now
