Job Description

Avionics Technician VP Aviation is hiring Avionics Technicians to support heavy maintenance and C-Check programs at a commercial aircraft MRO in Lake City, Florida. Offering $1,200.00 per week at 40 hours , not including overtime. This is a contract opportunity supporting scheduled heavy maintenance on commercial aircraft. Technicians with previous heavy maintenance, modification, systems checkout, or military aircraft experience are encouraged to apply. Avionics Technician Responsibilities As an Avionics Technician, you may support: C-Check and heavy maintenance activities on commercial aircraft Aircraft avionics troubleshooting and repair Systems testing and operational checks Aircraft wiring installation, routing, and termination Removal and installation of avionics components Aircraft modifications and upgrade programs Inspection and verification of aircraft electrical systems Reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering documents Completing required maintenance documentation Requirements Minimum 3 years of aircraft avionics experience Experience troubleshooting aircraft electrical and avionics systems Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation Experience performing maintenance on transport category aircraft preferred Ability to work in a heavy maintenance environment Ability to work overtime as required Preferred Experience The ideal candidate will have experience with: Commercial aircraft heavy maintenance C-Checks or major inspection programs Aircraft modification programs Systems checkout and operational testing Military aircraft maintenance Military-trained avionics technicians are encouraged to apply.
