As an Avionics Technician , you will troubleshoot and repair avionics systems that are malfunctioning in customer aircraft. What you'll do: Install, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems, including FMS, Satcom, radar, autopilot, communications, navigation, and IFE systems. Perform electrical/avionics installations, including routing and connecting wiring, aligning components, and fabricating wiring harnesses. Conduct system testing, continuity checks, and assists in complex electrical troubleshooting. Document all work accurately and adheres to FAA, manufacturer, and industry standards. Operate hand/power tools and electrical test equipment, following proper safety and procedural guidelines. Maintains a professional appearance and communication skills to foster positive customer relationships.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Formal avionics systems and electronics education/training. Minimum 1-3 years of related avionics experience. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours), lift 50 pounds unassisted, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders to service aircraft Must be able to work overtime as required Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Characteristics:
Maintenance experience with Falcon, Lear, Challenger, Embraer, Cessna, and/or Hawker airframes Knowledge of power sources and bonding and grounding techniques. Knowledge of both electrical and electronic theories and be able to understand and follow wiring diagrams. Analytical skills to perform complex mechanical troubleshooting. Excellent hand-to-eye coordination. Strong interpersonal and verbal skills in order to interface with customers and employees.
