Job Description

MRO STRUCTURES LEAD JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, the Structures Technician Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the day-to-day activities of the structures team in support of VIP aircraft completion and maintenance projects. The role provides technical direction, supports removal, repair, modification, and installation activities, and ensures all work is performed in accordance with engineering data, maintenance manuals, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Plan, schedule, and assign daily work activities for structures technicians to ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment with production schedules. Provide guidance, on-the-job training (OJT), and instruction related to correctly measuring, laying out, sizing, and drilling holes per drawing or other technical data. Coordinate with engineering both within and outside the company to address issues and correct or clarify technical data. Perform precision measurements and map out damage or defects to determine airworthiness and / or submit technical requests. Ensure all work performed by the team complies with engineering specifications, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and applicable regulatory requirements. Verify work performed by all technicians is documented correctly on a daily basis, and as work is completed. Lead by example by demonstrating proper techniques, workmanship standards, and adherence to quality expectations. Audit and process completed paperwork, including electronic sign-offs as required, and assist with corrections. Ensure team compliance with engineering changes, revisions, and modification requirements. Monitor and drive first-time quality, minimizing rework and improving overall efficiency. Promote and enforce a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, project leadership, and other departments regarding progress, issues, and potential risks to schedule or delivery. Mentor and support junior technicians to develop technical skills and improve overall team capability. Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC 1.
High School diploma or GED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus. 2. 6 years of structures install experience, preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment. 3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. 4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. 5. FAA issued Airframe License
