Job Description
Job Summary
DPP is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Work location: Onsite in Vandalia, OH
Duration:
12 months
Terms:
W2 Contract
Work authorization: US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
Position Summary:
As a Mass Properties Engineer III, you will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and support cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from state-of-the-art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.
Youll be responsible for developing complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems.
Your technical responsibilities involve design and development, analysis, and test of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Lead the calculation and analysis of mass properties for advanced aerospace systems.
Develop and validate mass properties models and simulations.
Inventory and weigh aircraft.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of relevant experience.
Higher level relevant degrees may substitute for experience.
General knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Exposure to Computer Aided Engineering tools.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams.
Experience in aircraft inventory.
Experience in mass properties calculation, analysis, modeling, and simulation.
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military.
