Job Description

Job Title:
Avionics Technician
  • Open to any airframe experience
  • Pays up to $50/hr with per diem for nonlocal candidates No tools required Summary The Avionics Technician assembles, installs, modifies, and troubleshoots aircraft avionics and electrical systems in a final assembly environment.
This role focuses on wiring, harness installation, testing, and diagnostics while ensuring compliance with aerospace quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Assemble, install, and modify wire bundles, harnesses, and avionics components Perform cable lay-ins, terminations, crimping, pinning, soldering, and routing Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical manuals Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems Use hand tools and specialized aircraft test equipment Document work performed and maintain accurate records and equipment status Verify correct part usage and compliance with specifications Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and improve processes Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 4+ years of aircraft electrical or avionics experience preferred Hands-on experience with wiring, harness fabrication, and avionics systems Ability to read schematics and technical documentation Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work various shifts and environments while using required PPE Preferred Qualifications Military avionics experience Experience with rotary or fixed-wing aircraft Final assembly line experience Strong attention to detail and team-oriented mindset Work Environment Final assembly line in an aircraft manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, PA. First or second shift available with overtime opportunities. Hands-on, production-focused environment using provided tools and required safety equipment. Contract to Hire Starting on contract will receive PTO while on contract as well as relocation assistance when going direct at the end of contract if requested. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
