Job Description :
Develops interior ​ equipment specifications, interior maintenance programs and ​ specifications. Investigates reliability/serviceability problems, ​ and designs/develops corrective actions. ​ Provides technical interface with manufacturers and suppliers. Develops ​ Engineering ​ Orders to ​ modify ​ aircraft interior ​ equipment ​ and/or configurations. ​ Provides ​ engineering support to Flight, ​ Marketing, Quality ​ Assurance and ​ Aircraft Production ​ in addition ​ to supporting ​ engineering ​ related ​ programs and ​ objectives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
BS/MS ​ Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical ​ Engineering ​ discipline ​ from an ​ accredited college/university. Zero to ​ five years' ​ experience ​ in aircraft engineering ​ or ​ related ​ experience. Familiarity with aircraft ​ interiors, regulatory requirements and AA engineering practices preferred. ​ Must have ​ good interpersonal skills and work ​ well ​ with ​ other ​ groups. Top 3 to 5 skillsets / years of experience : BS is Engineering (required, not Engineering Technology and not Engineering Management), Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience with airline processes and procedures. AA experience preferred. Experience with aircraft cabin electrical systems, WIFI, and/or IFE systems.
