Position:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. This position will work cross functionally with the Avionics & Electrical Engineering teams on the design, development, manufacturing, testing, and on-orbit operation of flight and ground support hardware.
Responsibilities:
Assemble, test, andmaintaincircuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, etc. Adjust and replace defective circuitry and electronics components
Requirements:
AA or AS degree in Electrical Engineering or at least 3 years industry experience
Certifications:
NASA STD 8739.4
- Cable Harness and Crimp
NASA STD 8739.3
- Through-Hole Soldering
NASA STD 8739.2
- Surface Mount Technology
NASA STD 8739.1
- Polymetric Applications
IPC J-STD-001E-2010 IPC J-STD-001ES
Space Addendum Skilled in harness design and manufacturing. Spaceflight harness experience preferred Skilled with proper crimping techniques and testing methods Experience in wire and connector specification for aerospace or spaceflight harness manufacture Familiar with Aerospace instrumentation such as solenoid valves, temperature & pressure sensors, DC motors etc. An understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts with real world circuit design & analyst technique experience Experienced in writing and documenting Work Orders and Work Instructions following standardized practices Able to read blueprints, technical drawing, and diagrams and follow specifications Testing of electrical systems with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters ExperienceprocuringClass 1 hardware, meeting IPC Space addendum qualifications Experience in the ordering, handling of, and storage of chemical components needed in the manufacturing processes related to electronic and mechatronic systems Knowledgeable in the safety processes, collection of MDS's and ensuring the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is in place as well as emergency equipment such as eyewashes, safety showers, fire extinguishers among other equipment is in place and properly maintained
