Position Responsibilities:
Performs inspections of electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, and related aircraft electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications. This inspector implements quality assurance and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing reviews of work for compliance with requirements. Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner. Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished. Communicates deficiencies to proper persons. Maintains Quality Assurance files. Documents result of all inspections.
Required skills/qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting or working with aircraft electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, or related electrical installations. Minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality Inspection experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience performing product or process inspections. Minimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints. Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
Preferred requirements:
Electrical inspection experience on aircraft systems, avionics, wiring, or integrated electrical components. Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections. Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry. FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or sufficient experience to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate.
