Duties Help As aCOMPOSITE FABRICATOR
•Title 32, WG-4352-10, you will provide on/off aircraft equipment maintenance for the LO systems and structures.MAJOR DUTIES
1. Improves, modifies, fabrices, and designs repairs for low observable assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components ensuring proper weight to strength rios are met and maintains structural and low observable integrity requirements including associed aircraft structural composites. 2. Performs a variety of extensive evaluions of weapons systems using a variety of complex tools and assessment equipment to assess th the proper radar cross section (RCS) signure according to the associed technical order da, mission requirements and other policy regulions, instructions, and guidance. 3. Performs repair, applicion, and maintenance of corrosion preventives and paints on aircraft, powered, and non-powered AGE (aerospace ground equipment). Identifies metal corrosion. 4. Collects, compiles, and records LO systems da for maintenance scheduling, stistical analysis, trending, and historical record. Performs da searches and reports findings as directed. 5. : To qualify the WG-10 level, you must have least 12 months of specialized experiences in the inspection, repair, modificion, removal, installion, troubleshooting, and da documention of B-2, F-22, and/or F-35 aircraft Low Observable (LO) signure systems and structures. The applicant must have the competencies to work LO aircraft designs and structures. Experienced in conducting testing procedures, prevention of metal corrosion, and merial failure. Skilled in applying RCS signure reduction techniques and design elements and skilled in the use of various complex tools and equipment. The applicant must have the working knowledge of metal strength characteristics (annealing, tempering, and normalizing); along with composite and LO merial characteristics, and experienced in selecting proper merials for repair actions. Must have a working knowledge of health hazards associed with maintenance and proper mitigion procedures, such as decontaminion and housekeeping. Skilled in assembling and repairing aircraft parts and components using specialized fasteners, classified adhesives and advanced composites. The applicant must have the working knowledge of assigned computer systems such as, IMIS, IMS, ALIS, SAS, and/or LOHAS used for maintenance planning, technical instruction, and maintenance documention. Competent in identifying proper repair merials using engineering drawings to ensure correct radar band frequency is being mitiged. Skilled in verifying merials th mch engineering drawings using reflecto-meter probes. Experienced and skilled in fabricing repair parts from RAM, cutting tools, and adhering these parts to aircraft surfaces and fasteners using vacuum bags, fixtures, and other pressure inducing processes. Skilled and experienced in applying scrim (gauze•like) merials to RAM and aircraft surfaces in preparion for RAM cover strip installion. Experiences included installing RAM cover strips to panel and skin gaps; applying RAM pastes to aircraft surface gaps, voids, and gouges; sanding and skiving RAM and RAM pastes to required aircraft contours; and, repairing LO trements on polycarbone transparencies using edge sealing compounds, adhesives, primers, and conductive films.
