Job Description

Job Title:
Ski and Bicycle Technician /
Sales Specialist Location:
Scarborough, ME Position Type:
Full-Time / Part-Time (Seasonal or Year-Round) About the Role We are looking for a dual-threat Ski and Bike Tech / Sales Specialist who is as comfortable turning a wrench in the service bay as they are helping a customer find the perfect gear on the retail floor. Whether you are dialing in a derailleur, talking suspension setup, or helping a customer gear up for winter, you will be the go-to expert making sure our community gets the most out of their time outside. If you love bikes, have a passion for skiing, and want a job where your technical skills and outdoor enthusiasm actually matter, we want to talk to you. Key Responsibilities In the Shop (Tech): You will diagnose, service, and repair a wide variety of bicycles including mountain, gravel, road, and E-bikes. You will perform builds, brake bleeds, drivetrain adjustments, and basic suspension service. You will also prepare for the winter pivot by assisting with ski and snowboard tuning, mounting, and binding adjustments, though we will provide training if your bike skills currently outweigh your ski tech skills. Maintaining a clean, efficient, and organized shop environment is also a core part of the role. On the Floor (Sales): You will greet customers, listen to their riding or skiing goals, and guide them to the right bikes, skis, apparel, and accessories. We pride ourselves on delivering premium customer service with an approachable, no-gatekeeping attitude. You will stay up-to-date on the latest product tech, geometry trends, and industry gear while helping maintain floor merchandising, restocking inventory, and keeping the shop looking sharp. What We Are Looking For You should have a hands-on tech baseline working on modern bicycles, specifically with cables, hydraulics, and electronic shifting. A genuine love for cycling and a strong interest or experience in skiing or snowboarding is essential. Having 1-2 years of bike shop or ski shop experience is a major plus, but it is not strictly required if you have solid mechanical aptitude, a great work ethic, and a willingness to learn. For communication, you need to be able to explain technical concepts to a beginner rider without making them feel overwhelmed, and talk shop with seasoned pros. Finally, we need adaptability, meaning you are ready to crush the bike season and seamlessly transition into ski season when the weather flips. Perks and Benefits We offer competitive hourly pay based on experience, alongside deep employee discounts on bikes, skis, components, and gear. You will get to work in a fun, fast-paced environment surrounded by people who love the outdoors, with plenty of opportunities to grow your technical skills through hands-on training. How to Apply Drop off your resume at the shop, or shoot us an email with a quick summary of your riding and skiing background and why you would be a great fit for the team.
