This role is responsible for helping keep bike parking equipment and facilities clean, operational, and ready for customer use. You'll split your time between field visits, remote monitoring, vendor coordination, issue response, maintenance, and installation support. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, working independently, and keeping customer-facing infrastructure in good working order. You'll work closely with Tranzito staff, WMATA, and third-party vendors to inspect and maintain bike lockers, smart racks, repair stands, U-racks, and related equipment across the WMATA service area. What you'll do Inspect, test, clean, maintain, and repair bike parking equipment and facilities Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electronic issues in the field Respond to customer issues, alarms, and problem reports Coordinate with vendors and remote support teams to resolve issues Support new installations, testing, punch list completion, and field adjustments Document repairs, observations, and outstanding issues in digital systems What we're looking for Strong technical and organizational skills Comfort working independently in the field Experience with mechanical and basic electronic troubleshooting Strong computer skills and comfort using digital tools Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and personal vehicle for work travel Ability to pass a background check as required for work on WMATA-related facilities and programs Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform hands-on field work safely Compensation and benefits $27.00/hour Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Paid parental leave Cell phone reimbursement Mileage reimbursement Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Occasional weekend or off-hours work as needed Work location: WMATA service area (Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland) Tranzito does not discriminate based on the following protected categories: race, color, genetic information, creed, religion, national origin, political affiliation, ancestry, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, transgender status, domestic partner status, marital status, disability, military or military veteran status, AIDS/HIV status, height, weight, personal appearance, credit information, matriculation, homeless status, status as a victim or a family member of a victim of domestic violence, a sexual offense, or stalking, or any other legally protected class.
