Lead Fence Installer Wasilla, AK 99654 From $30 an hour - Full-time From $30 an hour - Full-time Job Overview BLK Fence is looking for an experienced Lead Installer to join our crew for the 2026 install season. We're a locally owned fence company serving the Mat-Su Valley, Anchorage, and surrounding areas with a strong focus on quality work, reliability, and customer service. This position is ideal for someone who can confidently lead a small crew, keep projects moving efficiently, and take pride in doing quality work. We're looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and capable of handling the fast pace of Alaska's busy summer season. Responsibilities Lead and manage a fence installation crew on residential and commercial projects Read and follow project layouts and plans Communicate with customers professionally on-site Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet BLK Fence quality standards Operate skid steers, augers, power tools, and other equipment safely Set posts, frame fences, hang gates, and complete installs from start to finish Train and guide crew members as needed Load/unload materials and maintain organized job sites Troubleshoot challenges in the field and adapt as needed Qualifications Previous fence installation or related construction experience required Experience leading a crew preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in varying Alaska weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Strong communication and leadership skills Comfortable operating equipment and power tools Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented What Makes Someone a Good Fit Takes pride in quality craftsmanship Can keep a crew productive without constant supervision Shows up consistently and communicates well Works efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Comfortable solving problems in the field Treats customers and coworkers respectfully Handles fast-paced outdoor work well What We Offer Competitive pay DOE Full-time seasonal work with opportunity for long-term growth Supportive small team environment Variety of projects throughout the Mat-Su Valley and surrounding areas
