Position Title:
Preventative Maintenance Technician Department:
Shop Location:
Athens, AL Essential Job Functions:
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacements Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend solutions Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in maintenance technologies Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules and protocols Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents and other coworkers at all times Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work task Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a construction environment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge, preferred, not required Ability to communicate and convey information effectively Knowledge of machines and tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds Grayson Carter and Son Contracting, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
