Job Description
Job Summary The Maintenance Technician will be a key member of the AL team and will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations of the facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing mechanical and maintenance support and ensure that the industrial machinery and equipment run smoothly and reliably at
ILJIN AMERICA.
The Maintenance Technician's job involves preventive maintenance, testing, adjusting, repairing, and servicing a wide range of machines and mechanical systems. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance Diagnose mechanical problems, failures, or malfunctions in machinery and equipment Carry out maintenance, repair, and replacement of parts to correct malfunctions Implement preventive maintenance plans to avoid unexpected breakdowns Comply with safety and environmental rules and regulations in all maintenance procedures Document all maintenance and repair work performed, including the cause of machine failure, and the specific parts or equipment used Collaborate with other team members, including production and engineering staff, to solve complex problems and improve processes Keep an inventory of spare parts in stock and place orders when necessary Carefully read manuals of equipment and interpret them to understand how to operate and maintain them properly Inspect newly acquired equipment upon arrival, checking every part to be sure that they are working and meet up with industry standards before they are put to use in the factory. Communicate with management or clients to inform them about equipment faults and best maintenance techniques to implement for maximum performanceQualifications Education:
High School diploma orGED Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment and background in maintenance Proven interpersonal, communication and time management skills. Good conceptual and analytical competences. 2 years of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, welding and machine repair experience Physical requirements:- Must have previous Forklift experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
- Must be able to work extended working hours when needed.
- Must be able to bend, lift, turn, twist, stand as the job requires
- Must be able to work from elevated heights
