Job Description

Motel Maintenance Job Duties Perform basic plumbing repairs , including faucets, toilets, sinks, drains, showerheads, and minor leaks. Perform basic electrical repairs , such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, bulbs, and covers. Repair and patch sheetrock/drywall , including holes, cracks, and damaged areas. Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-ups as needed. Repair doors, locks, handles, hinges, cabinets, furniture, and other room items. Handle minor caulking and bathroom repairs around tubs, sinks, toilets, and showers. Check guest rooms regularly and complete maintenance work orders quickly. Perform basic preventive maintenance on A/C units (PTACs) , including cleaning filters and checking operation. Keep the parking lot, sidewalks, building exterior, dumpster area, and grounds clean . Pick up trash around the property daily and maintain a professional appearance. Pressure wash sidewalks, entrances, and exterior areas when necessary. Help maintain the pool and outdoor areas if applicable. Inspect rooms for maintenance problems before they are placed back into service. Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance inventory. Report major plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roof, or structural problems to management. Respond promptly when the front desk reports a guest maintenance issue. Follow all hotel safety procedures and keep maintenance/work areas organized. Assist with other property maintenance and improvement projects as assigned. Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
