Position:
Are you a skilled, reliable, and safety-conscious individual with a knack for solving problems? Do you take pride in keeping spaces running smoothly? We're looking for a General Maintenance Technician to join our team and take on a hands-on role in ensuring that our commercial building is well-maintained and operates seamlessly.
What You'll Do:
Perform regular maintenance and repairs on building systems, including painting, drywall patching, carpet tile replacement, plumbing, carpentry, and more. Ensure all maintenance work meets industry standards and equipment manufacturer specifications. Document all activities through our work order system, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with the lease and landlord obligations. Respond to emergency repairs, assisting in unscheduled issues when needed. Communicate effectively with tenants, visitors, and property management, ensuring clear and proactive communication. Monitor and assist contractors on-site to ensure quality and safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in commercial building operations, maintenance, or construction roles preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks that include standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing. Ability to pass a company and government clearance background check. Must be a U.S. citizen.
