As a Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to provide excellent professional customer service to prospective and current residents at all times. Our residents depend on us to be observant and quick to respond to their needs. Professional Requirements Working knowledge of basic electrical and basic plumbing A resident-focused mentality Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, on the phone & face to face Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment Maintains accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests (received and completed), expenditures, make-ready status, work-in-progress, etc. Performs needed home maintenance and repairs within 24 hours of tenant notification (ex: painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, sheet rock repair, etc.) Maintains adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials to handle most common repairs and situations Rehab park owned vacant homes when applicable Assists in keeping grounds clean, neat, and free of litter Ability to walk, climb, stand, sit and lift up to 100 pounds Ability to work well independently as well as on a team Must take initiative to do miscellaneous tasks as required and requested by property manager Must respond to emergency situations during and after hours (on-call) Personal Requirements Must have a high school diploma or GED Valid driver's license & good driving record Must submit to background check Must pass pre-employment drug screening & will be subject to random drug testing during employment
