Job Description

The Maintenance Technician Controls role will need expertise in electrical and electronics, including but not limited to: PLC controllers and logic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, servo drives, data acquisition programs, robots controls and troubleshooting, automation, controls, HMI, sensing devices, Basic CAD and computer software knowledge. Preferred knowledge of Allen Bradley (PLC 5, RS Logix 5000, slick 500 Control logix,), Siemens S7 Device net, Profibus, Ethernet IP, Die Casting, CNC, Robotics, and/or large hydraulic system experience. 5+ years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience OR equivalent (Industrial Maintenance degree or certification, or completed apprenticeship program).
Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficient in operating and modifying 6-axis robots, as well as troubleshooting and programming PLC ladder logic. Advanced troubleshooting skills in hydraulic systems, with expertise in vision systems and CNC equipment (Siemens 840D preferred). Skilled in vision systems, DCM operation, ABB & Fanuc robot handling and programming, and strain gauge setup. Demonstrates proactive problem-solving, initiative, and a commitment to continuous improvement while maintaining alignment with Nemak Values.
