ABOUT THE ROLE
Performs various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Performs tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systems throughout the facility. Works with and provides oversight to contractor personnel. Assists with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment. Services and lubricates equipment as required. Participates in formal and on-the job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non- technical job skills; participates in cross training activities. Works rotating shift schedule and weekends as assigned Other duties as assigned. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GEDAdditional Education:
2 years technical college in a related subject preferred
Required Computer and Software Skills:
 Effective computer and systems skills
Travel Requirements:
Minimal Additional Requirements:
Demonstration of maintenance technical skills, such as troubleshooting air compressors, repairing bearings, repairing drives, installing equipment, lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and fabrication is required. 2-4 years industrial experience required; 4-5 years industrial chemical experience or maintenance experience preferred.
Licenses Preferred:
Valid Driver's License Assist other departments as needed. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
