Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Thorsby, AL. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to support safe and efficient operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, executing preventive maintenance schedules, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs in a timely manner. The Maintenance Technician will document maintenance activities, coordinate with production staff to minimize downtime, and adhere to safety and compliance standards. This role may also assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and productivity. Qualifications Strong equipment maintenance skills, including Maintenance & Repair for industrial machinery. Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs and routine inspections to reduce downtime. Background in Industrial Maintenance within a manufacturing or plant environment. Knowledge of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and basic hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and equipment specifications. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production and management teams. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred. Willingness to work on-site in Thorsby, AL, including occasional overtime or shift adjustments as needed.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
