ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High school diploma Basic knowledge of all the following areas:

Mechanical▪ Power Transmission
  • chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.▪ Lubrication
  • oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.▪ Hydraulics & Pneumatics
  • valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping andtubing, etc.
Electrical▪ DC Circuits
  • relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.▪ AC Circuits (120V to 480V)
  • motors, drives, transformers, etc.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform duties on an elevated platform Ability to kneel, bend, reach and stoop Ability to read, interpret and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, P&ID) Ability to pass a Mobile Equipment test Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time for training and data entry purposes
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
