Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and other mechanical devices using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct repairs on various equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, and other machinery critical to daily operations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems while adhering to safety standards. Lead small maintenance projects or teams when necessary, ensuring timely completion with quality workmanship. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for all staff. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting and repair purposes. Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment. Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair and general construction practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide junior team members or assist in training new staff. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to maintenance tasks. Relevant certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are highly desirable; construction or electrical licenses are a plus.
