Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Maintenance Technician for Hotel Facilities Hampton Inn Bryant, where you will be the key player in ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel environment. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of maintenance disciplines, from electrical and plumbing repairs to HVAC system troubleshooting and building interior maintenance. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and inviting space for our guests and staff alike. Duties Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment using hand tools, schematics, and technical manuals. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including wiring, switches, outlets, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and facilities equipment maintenance to uphold building integrity and aesthetics. Maintain plumbing systems through inspection, repair of leaks, drain cleaning, and replacement of fixtures as needed. Use electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues with electrical circuits and components accurately. Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving building interior upkeep, HVAC system repairs, or facilities upgrades. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with excellent customer service skills to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a positive experience. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance procedures to ensure a secure environment for colleagues and guests alike. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality or manufacturing industry. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and electrical equipment repair is essential. Hands-on expertise with plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as HVAC system troubleshooting and repair. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance painting techniques. Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred to oversee or coordinate maintenance tasks effectively. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation purposes. Ability to read technical schematics and schematics related to electrical wiring, HVAC systems, or mechanical layouts. Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and report on maintenance activities confidently.
