Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our vibrant team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality, safety, and appearance of residential apartment communities. Your expertise will ensure that residents enjoy a comfortable, well-maintained living environment. Duties Perform routine and preventative maintenance on apartment units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and appliances. Troubleshoot and repair issues using schematics, electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently. Conduct residential painting, drywall repairs, carpentry work, welding, and other handyman tasks to uphold property standards. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future repairs. Maintain safety protocols by inspecting equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing electrical systems with expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident requests promptly and professionally while maintaining positive relationships within the community. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities or residential maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals; experience with PLCs is a plus. Skilled in welding, electrical work, plumbing repairs, and residential painting. Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, power drills, and other maintenance equipment safely. Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking maintenance tasks; manufacturing or industrial experience is advantageous but not required. Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
