Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills, with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where safety, efficiency, and quality are paramount. The Maintenance Technician will also oversee routine inspections, troubleshoot complex issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of operational excellence. This position requires open availability including on the weekends and holidays as needed. All applicants must have previous hospitality maintenance experience with professional work references that can be verified. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, guest rooms, facilities, hotel audits, and infrastructure to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and mechanical adjustments as needed to ensure equipment reliability. Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and maintenance manuals. Assist as MOD/PIC. Lead or supervise maintenance projects, including residential painting or facility upgrades when required. Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all maintenance activities. Assist in training technicians or team members on maintenance procedures, food safety, and life-safety practices. Support manufacturing operations by maintaining equipment uptime and optimizing performance. Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process improvement, equipment upgrades, and GSS. Skills Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automation systems. Strong electrical experience including wiring, circuit analysis, and use of testing tools such as ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair, welding techniques, and schematics interpretation. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC, pool upkeep, cleaning, lawn care, and painting is a plus. Familiarity with Marriott software for work order management. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is desirable. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings fluently in English.
