Maintenance Technician Coleman Heat Treating 2500 West Main Street, Jacksonville, AR 72076 $23.99 - $35.00 an hour - Full-time $23.99 - $35.00 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and conducting routine inspections. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced setting, contributing directly to the smooth running of our operations. Responsibilities Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, including HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, filters, valves, and electrical parts. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Assist with construction or renovation projects related to facility improvements as needed. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance. Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic procedures for various equipment types. Hands-on experience with equipment repair including air conditioning units and refrigeration systems. Mechanical knowledge combined with construction experience is highly desirable. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently using diagnostic tools and schematics. Leadership qualities that enable effective teamwork and supervision when necessary. Strong communication skills to clearly document work performed and collaborate with team members. Valid certifications or licenses related to HVAC/R or appliance repair are preferred but not mandatory.
