• Demonstrate proper lockout/tagout procedures
• Independently install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment
• Read blueprints and troubleshoot equipment and systems with line/logic diagrams
• Determine corrective action(s) necessary to minimize downtime and increase productivity
• Work with Production Operators on changeovers and equipment change processes
• Maintain oiling and greasing schedules for all plant machinery and equipment
• Visually inspect and listen to production equipment and advise supervision of any abnormalities.
• Work up to 12-hour shifts, weekends, and some holidays as necessary
• Demonstrate a firm understanding of motors, controls, and basic electrical systems o Troubleshoot and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs), relays, and three-phase electrical systems
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations; listening for problems; using precision measures and testing instruments
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools; examining form and texture of parts for wear
• Diagnose and determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts and equipment by inspecting used parts, utilizing rules (precision maintenance), calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, laser alignment systems, and other measuring devices
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment o Perform welding using MIG or stick welding processes and cutting using oxy-acetylene torches or plasma cutting equipment o Perform metal fabrication using drills, mills, and lathes o Assemble parts using simple and complex engineering drawings
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a heavy industrial maintenance environment
• Experience working on screw conveyors, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and couplings
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics
• Clean safety and attendance record
• Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Some experience in PLC troubleshooting is a plus
• Working knowledge of wallboard production is a plus
• Must be able to operate a forklift, scissors lift, boom lift, and industrial cart
• Ability to work at elevated locations and in awkward or confined spaces, climb stairs and ladders, and move or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Accurately identify color-coded cables and wires in variable lighting conditions
• Have good visual acuity for depth and height perception and good manual dexterity/eye coordination
• Ability to wear work gloves, safety glasses, a hard hat, safety-toed shoes (EH-rated boots for maintenance), hearing protection, and other required PPE
• Ability to effectively communicate using plant radios in a manufacturing environment and Teams application on iPad
• Perform basic math/arithmetic using a calculator
• Must be able to perform data entry into the CMMS via iPad, computer, or smartphone.

o Create and process work orders, assign parts, and review work order history within the CMMS (Fiix)

Pay:

$38.81 - $40.81 per hour
