Aerospace Manufacturing Location:
Phoenix, AZ Shift:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday Position Summary We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a precision manufacturing operation serving the aerospace and defense industries. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career maintenance professional looking to build their skills in a highly technical manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Technician will assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of CNC machinery, production equipment, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on maintenance experience and a strong desire to learn and develop their technical skills. Responsibilities Perform preventative and routine maintenance on CNC machines, production equipment, and facility systems. Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Assist with diagnosing equipment problems and identifying the appropriate repair. Inspect, adjust, repair, and replace components such as belts, bearings, motors, sensors, switches, and other mechanical/electrical parts. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other maintenance equipment. Assist with electrical troubleshooting using wiring diagrams and schematics. Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests to help minimize production downtime. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and accurately document work performed. Assist with the installation, setup, relocation, and modification of equipment. Work with Production and Engineering personnel to identify and resolve equipment issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area. Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned. Qualifications 1-3 years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience. Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience. Familiarity with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems. Comfortable using common hand tools and power tools. Basic ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, or equipment manuals. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting mindset. Basic computer skills. Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Ability to work independently while also taking direction from experienced maintenance personnel. Preferred Qualifications Experience working around CNC machines or other precision manufacturing equipment . Exposure to PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, or automated equipment. Basic welding or fabrication experience. Experience with preventative maintenance programs or CMMS systems. Previous experience in aerospace, defense, CNC machining, or precision manufacturing. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work around machinery. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around operating machinery, electrical equipment, coolants, and other manufacturing processes. Ability to wear required PPE. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a mid-level Maintenance Technician who can step onto the floor and immediately contribute. This person should be comfortable troubleshooting equipment independently, communicating with production teams, and taking ownership of preventative maintenance and repairs while maintaining the high safety and quality standards expected in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
