Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Floor Technician Custodian to join our cleaning and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facility by performing a variety of floor care and custodial tasks. Your proactive approach will ensure that all areas are kept in pristine condition, supporting the overall health and safety of our staff and visitors. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial or custodial experience who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in their work. Duties Perform comprehensive floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and shine. Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and solutions to remove stains, dirt, and debris effectively. Maintain and operate floor care machinery such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors with precision and safety. Ensure all areas are sanitized regularly by applying environmentally friendly cleaning products in accordance with safety guidelines. Perform routine janitorial duties including trash removal, restroom sanitation, dusting, and surface cleaning to uphold hygiene standards. Monitor supply levels of cleaning materials and notify management when replenishments are needed to ensure uninterrupted operations. Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is highly preferred. Proven expertise in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Familiarity with environmental services standards and environmentally friendly cleaning practices. Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts.
