Your primary focus involves the upkeep and repair of material handling equipment (MHE) and related facility systems. You will be tasked with the installation, diagnosis, and restoration of automated distribution and packaging machinery, while simultaneously refining your own technical expertise and providing guidance to less experienced team members. Core Duties Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to all established safety protocols and equipment guidelines. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and verify that all service activities are accurately recorded. Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions in material handling systems, specifically: Conveyor systems and belts Electric motors Sensors and photo-eyes Control relays Automated distribution and packaging hardware Install, service, troubleshoot, and fix automated machinery and auxiliary systems. Foster productive and collaborative relationships with all Operations personnel. Manage, organize, and monitor the department's spare parts inventory. Provide mentorship and technical support to junior technicians to help them grow their professional skills. Safely transport tools, parts, and equipment weighing as much as 49 pounds. Commit to 12-hour shifts, which involve significant periods of standing and walking. Travel for work at least 90% of the time, often for long-term project assignments. Physical Requirements Perform repetitive physical motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lift tools and components with an average weight of 20 pounds, with the capacity to lift up to 49 pounds when necessary. Demonstrate strong hand-eye coordination while performing technical tasks.
