Maintenance Technician Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure within the facility. This role ensures the efficient operation of production equipment, minimizing downtime, and adhering to safety standards. Essential Job Functions Perform preventive maintenance on all company equipment, including CNC machines, compressors, and other mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair machine issues involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, and basic software systems. Repair or replace faulty parts, including motors, drives, sensors, switches, relays, bearings, belts, pumps, valves, and control boards. Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, safety concerns, and potential failures before breakdowns occur. Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs on the production floor. Support machine startup, calibration, alignment, testing, and adjustments after repairs are completed. Inspect equipment condition and ensure maintenance is performed in line with warranty requirements when applicable. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare parts usage records. Assist with spare parts inventory and recommend critical parts and tools that should be kept in stock. Submit purchase requests for tools, parts, and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Keep all department machines and equipment in good working order. Ensure all equipment is operating safely and in compliance with company policies and lockout/tagout procedures. Train and support machine operators on basic machine care and proper equipment use as needed. Communicate maintenance progress, equipment issues, and repair status to management in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Must be available to work on-call when needed, including weekends and after hours. - Able to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other assigned duties as required.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
- Required to always wear personal protective equipment in the warehouse.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
