Job Description
Building Maintenance Technician Keep Buildings Running Smoothly We're seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient facility. Enjoy a Monday-Friday, first-shift schedule (7:00 AM-3:30 PM) with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position. What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, lighting, and infrastructure Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders efficiently Conduct building inspections and address safety or maintenance concerns Perform general repairs including carpentry, painting, patching, and flooring work Track maintenance activities and maintain tools, parts, and supplies Work with contractors as needed while ensuring quality and safety standards What We're Looking For 5+ years of building, facilities, or maintenance experience Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience with preventive maintenance programs Proficient with hand and power tools Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks Commitment to safety and excellent customer service Preferred Qualifications EPA Certification Commercial facilities maintenance experience Electrical training or related degree Experience reading equipment measurements and diagnostics Why Join Us? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Wood Dale, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
