Floor Technician

Duties Conduct carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment to maintain fresh and professional flooring. Apply floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing to restore shine and extend the lifespan of flooring surfaces. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure environmental compliance. Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or needed to uphold facility standards. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for quick resolution. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, preferably within commercial or environmental services environments. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care, carpet cleaning, buffing, and general sanitation practices. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, extractors, and other floor maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or environmental services is highly desirable.
