This is a full-time role for a skilled, motivated technician who wants stability, growth, and a workplace that respects their expertise. What You'll Do Perform state-certified smog inspections and emissions testing Diagnose and repair emissions-related failures accurately and efficiently Handle advanced diagnostics across a wide range of systems including: Emission control & fuel injection systems Electrical, ignition, and computerized systems On-board diagnostics (OBD I & II) ABS, computerized A/C, automatic transmissions, and 4WD components Collaborate with service advisors on vehicle history and customer concerns Perform routine maintenance and preventative services Conduct post-repair testing, verification drives, and quality checks Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe What We're Looking For California Smog Test & Repair License (Required) Valid California Driver's License (Required) 5+ years of automotive repair experience 5+ years of diagnostic experience Strong emissions and smog repair background Sharp troubleshooting skills and attention to detail Reliable, professional, and team-oriented What You'll Get ExperTec offers a full benefits package that reflects how much we value our technicians: Competitive hourly pay: $35 - $45/hour DOE Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid vacation and paid time off Paid training and ASE testing support Employee discounts A supportive team environment with experienced advisors and management Location Costa Mesa, CA 92627 — In-person position.
