Job Description

Hotel Maintenance Engineer El Centro, CA 92243 From $17.50 an hour - Full-time From $17.50 an hour - Full-time The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and team members. This position performs preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections of hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel grounds. Complete preventative maintenance programs in accordance with hotel brand standards. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls. Repair and maintain guest room appliances, fixtures, furniture, and equipment. Conduct routine inspections of fire safety systems, emergency lighting, and security equipment. Maintain swimming pool, spa, fitness center, and other hotel amenities as applicable. Perform painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and general upkeep projects. Monitor and maintain boiler systems, water heaters, and other mechanical equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA, Hilton brand standards, local building codes, and safety regulations. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary. Assist with emergency situations and after-hours maintenance issues. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and storage areas. Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary.
Pay:
From $17.50 per hour
