Starting at $23+/hour (DOE) Overview We are partnering with a well-established hotel seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day facility operations. This is an evaluation hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right individual. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot and resolve issues independently, and understands that maintenance directly impacts the guest experience. You're not just fixing problems—you're maintaining the standard of the property. This role requires someone who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what's broken. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and common areas Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including basic system checks and adjustments Complete minor electrical repairs including lighting, outlets, appliances, and controls Perform plumbing repairs such as toilets, sinks, pipes, and shower components Conduct general carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and tile work Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate service records Inspect and maintain interior and exterior furniture and fixtures Replace light bulbs and ensure all lighting systems are functioning properly Maintain housekeeping equipment and ensure proper operation Assist with pool maintenance including monitoring chemical levels and general upkeep Coordinate with vendors (pest control, pool services, etc.) as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with property standards Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner Qualifications 1+ year of general maintenance or facilities experience (hotel experience preferred) Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair work Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Good communication skills; able to interact professionally with guests and team members Basic computer skills for reporting and communication Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Work Environment Hotel setting with both indoor and outdoor work Exposure to varying weather conditions, equipment, and maintenance materials Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, climbing, and bending Moderate noise levels with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and cleaning agents Schedule Requirements Flexible schedule required based on business needs Must be available to work weekends and holidays May be required to respond to occasional urgent maintenance needs How to
