Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support, troubleshoot, and optimize our production equipment and facility systems. This role requires advanced technical ability, strong problem‑solving skills, and the capacity to mentor junior technicians while ensuring maximum equipment uptime and reliability. At Bee Sweet Citrus, safety is paramount, and we expect all team members to uphold the highest safety standards in every task. This is a full‑time position requiring availability Monday through Saturday, with the ability to workday or night shifts as operational needs arise. Bee Sweet Citrus provides ALL necessary tools for technicians to perform their job including uniforms and personal protective equipment.
Duties / Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Diagnose and repair complex issues on pack line machinery, mechanical equipment, electric motors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems (roll, belt, chain). Lead routine PM activities, identify failure patterns, and recommend improvements to reduce downtime. Adjust, calibrate, and fine‑tune equipment; work with greases, oils, and lubrication systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including 1‑phase and 3‑phase motor controls, AC/DC control circuits, and PLC I/O. Perform basic fabrication and welding (Stainless & Mild Steel; TIG, MIG, Stick). Set up and operate drill presses, grinders, band saws, hydraulic presses, and other common shop tools. Support system upgrades, equipment modifications, and reliability initiatives. Provide guidance to junior technicians and collaborate with production teams. Required Skills / Abilities Strong ability to identify maintenance needs and determine appropriate corrective actions. Skilled in repairing machines, systems, and components using the proper tools and methods. Ability to determine causes of operating errors and implement long‑term solutions. Use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches. Monitor gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure proper machine operation; conduct tests and inspections to evaluate performance. Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs according to specifications. Strong understanding of machines, tools, designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Physical Requirement Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in varying conditions.
