Job description: Facility Technician Specialist Swing Shift - 3:00pm to 12:00 am Salary $40.00 to $45.00 As a Facilities Specialist at will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our facilities, with a primary focus on ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient work environments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining building systems, coordinating vendors, supporting workplace readiness, and responding to facility-related needs across production, warehouse, and office spaces. As part of a blended Facilities & EHS team , this role will also support environmental health and safety initiatives as needed, including inspections, hazard mitigation, emergency preparedness, and regulatory readiness. You will work closely with EHS, Operations, Security, and external service providers to ensure facilities are safe, compliant, and aligned with Skydio's operational needs. How you'll make an impactFacilities Operations & Maintenance (night shift facilities spec will be working alone and needs to be trustworthy and independent) Support PM facilities operations, including building systems, utilities, lighting, HVAC, electrical, and general maintenance. Coordinate and oversee vendors and contractors performing repairs, maintenance, and facility improvements. Track and manage service requests, preventive maintenance schedules, and work orders. Support facility upgrades, reconfigurations, and moves to meet evolving operational needs. Ensure workspaces, production areas, and common areas remain functional, clean, and safe. Workplace Safety & EHS Support Support EHS initiatives as part of a blended team, including: Facility safety inspections and walkthroughs Hazard identification and corrective actions Emergency equipment checks (exits, eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, AEDs) Assist with incident response, investigations, and follow-up actions related to facilities or building systems. Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and Fire Warden coordination. Help ensure facility-related controls align with safety and environmental requirements. Compliance & Documentation Maintain facilities documentation, including vendor records, inspection logs, maintenance records, and permits as applicable. Support regulatory readiness by ensuring facilities systems and infrastructure meet applicable safety and environmental standards. Assist EHS with audits and inspections by providing facilities-related documentation and support. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Support Serve as a key point of contact for facilities-related requests from Operations, Production, Warehouse, and Office teams. Partner with EHS to support safe work environments and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently. Support special projects related to facilities improvements, safety enhancements, and operational efficiency. What makes you a good fitRequired 5+ years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or building support roles. Strong working knowledge of building systems, general maintenance, compressed air, and vendor coordination. Experience supporting safety, compliance, or EHS initiatives in an operational environment. Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in administrative systems and reporting. Preferred Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, technology, or industrial facilities. Familiarity with workplace safety practices and EHS fundamentals. Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory compliance activities. Exposure to emergency preparedness programs or safety committees.
