Inglewood, CA Job Details Contract $25 - $30 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork English CMMS Manufacturing facility Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Maintenance Handyman to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set encompassing mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks, with a focus on maintaining safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained environment through proactive troubleshooting, repairs, and facility improvements. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, residential painting, or facilities maintenance are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure continuous operation. Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Execute welding tasks and mechanical repairs to support facility operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Assist with residential painting projects and other cosmetic repairs to improve facility aesthetics. Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during specific projects or repairs as needed. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical systems, welding equipment, or heavy machinery. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential repair work. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience and familiarity with schematics. Ability to operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices. Skilled in welding techniques and basic plumbing or carpentry tasks. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is advantageous for troubleshooting automated systems. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping is desirable.
