Huntington Management Corporation (HMC) is seeking a dependable, hands-on Mountain Property Maintenance Technician to help maintain our facilities, grounds, and infrastructure at Huntington Lake in the Sierra National Forest. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in keeping a property looking its best, we'd love to hear from you. This position offers a wide variety of work throughout the year. Duties change with the seasons, weather conditions, maintenance priorities, and ongoing improvement projects. You'll work alongside the on-site Property Manager, independently on assigned projects, and occasionally with outside contractors. Your work will help preserve and improve a unique mountain community for the residents and families who enjoy it throughout the year. Responsibilities Perform general building and property maintenance. Maintain grounds, landscaping, and common areas. Perform snow removal and winter property maintenance. Complete digging, trenching, and light plumbing repairs as needed. Perform carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general handyman tasks. Complete preventative maintenance and seasonal maintenance projects. Assist with property improvement projects. Prioritize maintenance projects in cooperation with the Property Manager. Track maintenance projects and provide regular progress updates to the Property Manager. Maintain organized project records and status reports. Work independently, with the Property Manager, and occasionally with contractors. Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property.
What We're Looking For Required:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation to and from the work site. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Organized and dependable. Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned work. Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and mountain weather conditions.
Preferred:
Three to five years of experience in property maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred. Candidates with less experience but strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Experience with carpentry, light electrical, light plumbing, general mechanical repairs, drywall repair, painting, and general property maintenance. Experience safely using hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with chainsaws, snow blowers, UTVs/ATVs, and tractors. Applicants may live locally or commute. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and includes seasonal maintenance activities in a mountain environment.
