MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance HVAC Technician position at Climate Care, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service, repairs, and maintenance on HVAC systems while also generating sales leads and promoting our company's products and services. Your strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and ability to identify sales opportunities will contribute to customer satisfaction and drive the growth of our business.

OBJECTIVES
Perform service, repair, and maintenance tasks on a wide range of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, in residential and commercial settings. Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems, diagnose malfunctions, and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements. Communicate with customers to explain system issues, proposed solutions, and associated costs, ensuring transparency and addressing any concerns. Generate sales leads and promote the company's HVAC products and services to customers, highlighting their benefits and value. Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities during service visits and effectively communicate those opportunities to customers. Provide accurate and detailed estimates and quotes for repair or replacement services, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability. Follow up with customers to answer questions, address concerns, and schedule necessary repairs or installations. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's products, services, and pricing to effectively educate customers and promote value-added solutions. Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC systems to provide customers with up-to-date information and recommendations. Keep detailed records of service calls, customer interactions, and sales opportunities using appropriate software or CRM systems. Collaborate with the service team to optimize scheduling and prioritize service calls based on customer needs and urgency.
COMPETENCIES
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to customers and promote HVAC products and services. Strong sales and customer service orientation, with a track record of successfully identifying and closing sales opportunities. Familiarity with HVAC systems, components, and controls, including knowledge of a variety of brands and models. Ability to provide accurate estimates and quotes for repair or replacement services, taking into account labor, materials, and associated costs. Proficiency in using sales and CRM software to manage leads, track opportunities, and maintain customer records. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up. High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work Well-organized with exceptional follow-through abilities Ability to build trust and diffuse conflict Clean appearance Positive attitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential HVAC services EPA Certification required Must possess valid state driver's license and clean driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking Must be able to lift at least 50lbs Wear safety attire, such as goggles or other protective clothing Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting Requires the ability to raise, manipulate and maneuver tools, components and materials and handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc. Work in high or elevated places and/or in tight spaces
