Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, offices, and back-of-house spaces. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, locks, lighting, and other building systems. Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments. Inspect hotel facilities regularly and identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Maintain swimming pool, spa, and related equipment as assigned. Assist with painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and minor construction projects. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards. Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Assist with vendor coordination and oversee contractors when necessary. Participate in emergency response procedures and after-hours maintenance calls as needed. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and storage areas. Support hotel renovations, special projects, and seasonal maintenance activities. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. The Part-Time Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and team members. This position performs preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and general upkeep of hotel property, equipment, and systems.
